versatility of the TrophySocket

Bear

InstalL Tutorial

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Tools Needed: drill or screwdriver and a 7/16” socket attached to your favorite socket driver tool.

Package contents: 2 arms, 1 ball, 1 carriage bolt and fitting nut, 2 screws.

1. Connect the 2 arms and ball (with hook on ball aiming up) using the carriage bolt Do not tighten yet

2. Locate a (wall stud) in the area that you want to hang your TrophySocket and make 2 marks vertically 4 ¾” apart, ensuring the marks are located over the wall stud. (we do not recommend using any drywall anchors.)

3. Place the wall mounting slots on your TrophySocket over the vertical markings made in step 2. Use the two screws provided, with the drill or screwdriver (not provided) to secure your TrophySocket to its new location (screws do not need to be overtightened)

4. Now it is time to place your euro mount onto the TrophySocket, locate the “foramen magnum” (the big hole on the back of the skull) and place it on the hook. (In some rare occasions the antlers of some trophies are too big and the wall gets in the way. If this is the case you will need to take the ball off the arms and place it in the “foramen magnum” first then with the trophy already attached to hook/ball, secure hook/ball to arms using carriage bolt.)

5. Have your 7/16” socket and favorite socket driver ready, hold your trophy in the desired position and angle. Then tighten the nut/ carriage bolt with the 7/16” socket. (do not overtighten nut at this point, it only needs to be tight enough to hold the position)

6. Step back and admire your trophy, if small tweaks on positioning need to be made this can usually be done without loosening the clamping nut if it has not been overtightened at this point. Once you are happy with the position your trophy is displayed, you can then tighten the clamping nut an extra ¼ to ½ turn.

-SAFETY-

Always ensure screws are anchored into a wall stud. Always use discretion and planning when choosing location to help minimize risk of trophy being knocked off the mount. The TrophySocket is not designed to be permanently fixed to the skull. Some customers have used a black zip tie through the skull and around the ball as means to permanently fix skull to hanger. Do not exceed 15 pounds on hanger.
